Flamenco in Madrid in November 2026
Flamenco in Madrid in November: four shows a day at Cardamomo, the only tablao in the city recommended by the New York Times, in the month when Madrid belongs to the locals again. The tourist tide goes out, the cultural season is in full swing, the city gets ready to switch on its Christmas lights and, on the 16th, flamenco celebrates its International Day.
If you’re in Madrid this November, a night at Cardamomo is the way to experience the city as locals do: indoors, a few metres from the stage, with the real thing.
Flamenco shows in November — programme and tickets
Throughout the month, Cardamomo offers four shows a day — 18:00, 19:30, 21:00 and 22:30 — with a cast of more than eight live artists. Singing, dancing, guitar and percussion with no playback, in a small venue where the audience sits just a few metres from the performers.
The cast changes every week, so no two nights are the same. Check the weekly artistic programme to see who’s performing on the night you come.
November starts with the All Saints’ long weekend and has a local holiday in Madrid on the 9th, La Almudena. These are busy dates and capacity is limited, so book ahead.
16 November: International Flamenco Day
On 16 November 2010, UNESCO declared flamenco an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Since then, International Flamenco Day has been celebrated every 16 November across Spain.
Few places make more sense to celebrate it than a tablao that is itself part of the Cultural Heritage of the City of Madrid. That night Cardamomo opens as always, with four shows and a live cuadro. If you only see flamenco once this year, make it that day.
Why Cardamomo is the best flamenco tablao in Madrid in November
Cardamomo has been on Calle Echegaray since 1994 and is the only tablao in Madrid recommended by the New York Times, with 4.5★ on Google from over 4,100 reviews and 4.6★ on TripAdvisor from 2,750. It is also the world’s first fully inclusive tablao.
The difference is the distance. Unlike the big theatres, here flamenco happens two metres away: you hear the dancer breathe, feel the heel hit the wood, see the singer’s face. When it’s cold outside, nothing compares to a night at a flamenco show in Madrid in a small, warm room.
Madrid in November — what to expect
November is deep autumn in Madrid: bright, crisp days, highs around 15°C and nights that are already cold. It’s the month of roasted chestnuts on street corners, museums without queues and terraces with heaters.
The cultural calendar is at its peak, with theatres in full swing and the big seasonal exhibitions open. And towards the end of the month the city switches on its Christmas lights, turning the centre into a must-see evening stroll.
Cardamomo is at Calle Echegaray 15, five minutes from Puerta del Sol, right on the lights route. To round off the night, add our tapas menu or a paella to your ticket and dine at the tablao itself.
