Miriam la Arquilleja
Graduate in Spanish Dance and Flamenco, trained with Sara Baras and Mariano Cruceta, and flamenco teacher in schools across Spain, Japan, Russia and China.
Miriam Reimúndez “La Arquilleja” holds a degree in Spanish Dance and Flamenco. She trained with leading companies including those of Sara Baras and Mariano Cruceta, which shaped her technique and her understanding of the stage.
Her artistic work is combined with an intense international teaching career: she has given classes in Japan (J.P. Carlos and Alma de Flamenco Nana Ikirijama academies), Russia (Flamenquería and Idioma Flamenco) and China (Casa del Flamenco), as well as teaching regularly in Madrid at the Fundación Conservatorio Casa Patas and Amor de Dios.
She has participated in cycles such as Sangre Nueva and Jóvenes Flamencos at the Teatro Español de Madrid, and presents her own shows under the name Arquilleja “Pura”. She is currently part of the Cardamomo company.
