María Reyes, born in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) in 1991. She started dancing at the age of 4 with her teacher “La Chati”. Graduated in the speciality of Flamenco at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Maribel Gallardo (Cádiz). She finished her studies with the extraordinary prize for the best academic record in Andalusia.

Throughout these years she trained in depth with her teacher Miguel Ángel Heredia. She started dancing with him in the tablao “la Taberna” (Jerez).

She took part in the competition “Desencaja Jóvenes Flamencos” representing the province of Cádiz, later participating in the Circuito Provincial de Peñas de Andalucía.

He was part of the company of the pianist Manolo Carrasco with his show “Vive la Pepa, 1812”. Also of the company “Azalea” with the teachers Mercedes Márquez and Javier Marín, touring Portugal and Andalusia, and participating in festivals and dance cycles, such as the “Lunas de Baello Claudia”.

In 2015 she won third prize for dance in the National Competition of Ubrique.

She then moved to Madrid to continue her career, and enrolled in the Superior Conservatory of Dance. She began her career in the tablaos of Madrid and in 2017 she was semi-finalist in the dance competition of the Tablao Villa Rosa. That same year she was part of the choreographic piece “la Rosa de Gerineldo” by the dancer Guadalupe Torres, which received the 1st prize for choreography at the Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid.

During 2019 she plays a role as a dancer and actress in the immersive show “Tacones Manoli”, directed by Felype de Lima and choreographed by Manuel Liñán.

In 2021, after a selection process, she joined the company of the dancer Mercedes de Córdoba (National Flamenco Award) for her show “Sí, quiero”, which premiered at the XXVI Festival de Jerez at the Teatro Villamarta, and later toured the Gran Teatro de Córdoba, Festival Les Nuits Flamencas de Aubagne (Marseille), the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, Festival de Mont de Marsan and the London Flamenco Festival.

She is currently touring the best tablaos in Madrid and Barcelona with Mercedes de Córdoba’s company, which is currently on tour.
