Flamenco in Madrid in July 2026

July is Madrid in its purest form. Summer settles in without asking permission, the nights don’t cool down until late, and the city fills with visitors from all over the world who come to experience something they won’t find anywhere else. If you are here this month, a flamenco night at Cardamomo is not just another option: it is the experience that defines the trip.

Flamenco shows in July — schedule and tickets

Throughout the month, the Cardamomo stage hosts four daily shows with a cast of over eight live artists. Singing, dancing, and guitar without playback, in a limited capacity venue that places the audience just a few meters from the artists.

The schedule is renewed every week. Every night is different: the ensembles vary, the guest artists change, and there are moments that are not repeated.

Check the weekly artistic schedule here.

July is the month with the highest tourist influx in Madrid. Cardamomo’s capacity is limited, and tickets sell out days in advance. Book your spot ahead of time.

Why Cardamomo is the best flamenco tablao in Madrid in July

Not all tablaos are the same. Cardamomo has been the reference point for flamenco in Madrid since 1994: the only tablao recommended by the New York Times, with 4.6★ on Google out of over 4,000 reviews and 4.6★ on TripAdvisor out of 2,750 opinions.

The secret is the limited capacity. Unlike large theaters, here flamenco happens just a few meters away: you can hear the dancer’s breathing, feel the strike of the shoe on the floor, see the singer’s expression. There is no distance between the art and the one receiving it.

In July, when Madrid is filled with international visitors, the difference between a real show and one designed for mass tourism is more noticeable than ever. Cardamomo is the former. If you want to combine it with a selection of tapas, check out our Show + Tapas option.

Madrid in July — what to expect if you visit the city

July is the hottest month of the year in Madrid. Temperatures can exceed 38°C during the day, but the city has an answer for that: life shifts to the night. Terraces fill up from ten onwards, plans are made late, and the streets of the historic center don’t rest until dawn.

It is also the month of Veranos de la Villa, the most important cultural festival of the Madrid summer, which fills emblematic spaces of the city with concerts, theater, and dance during July and August. A free or low-cost program that coexists perfectly with an evening plan at the tablao.

In July, Madrid doesn’t stop — and neither does Cardamomo. Four daily shows, live artists, and an intimate space at Calle Echegaray 15, five minutes from Puerta del Sol, offering exactly the opposite of the summer noise: authentic flamenco, just a few meters away, without artificiality.
