Mónica Fernández (Barcelona)

Graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Dance in Seville, she expanded her professional career in different disciplines like Flamenco and Spanish Dance. She has had lessons, among artists as La Chana, Manolete, Manolo Marín, José de la Vega, Cyrus, Emma Maleras, Javier la Torre, La China, Rosa Naranjo, La Tati, Merche Esmeralda, La Tani and Antonio Canales.

In 2006 she premiered her own company with the show Antojos (leading touring Egypt, Algeria and Venezuela between 2010 and 2012)…

 In the last years of her professional career she collaborated with the most prestigious flamenco artists, being the first dancer in Poetas en Nueva York in the Rafael Amargo Company; performing at the Flamenco Union Festival in Bailaor with Antonio Canales and Amador Rojas; working as assistant choreographer in Fame program of Cuatro Television; as soloist dancer in the companies of Martha Heredia and Tito Losada (touring in Colombia with Entre Telones); and as a dancer performer in the video clip Corazón Partío of Alejandro Sanz. She works as a Professor at the Conservatory Casa Patas de Madrid Foundation (2011-2012), has also taught courses and master classes in the United States, Germany, Cape Verde and Venezuela. At the moment she is part of the teaching staff of Flamenco Study Center (Uflamenco) of Madrid.
