Daniel Ramos
Madrid-born dancer and choreographer trained at the Conservatorio Mariemma and the Ballet Nacional de España.
Daniel Ramos was born in Madrid in 1994 and began his dance training at the age of three. At fifteen he enrolled at the Real Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Mariemma, graduating with the End of Degree Prize and the Best Academic Record in the country. He has worked with some of the most important companies in the Spanish dance scene: the Ballet Nacional de España, the Manuel Liñán company and the Nuevo Ballet Español, among others.
His career as a creator began in 2021 with BOREAL, premiered at the Teatros del Canal and presented at Sadler’s Wells in London as part of the city’s Flamenco Festival. He combines flamenco with the Escuela Bolera and stylised Spanish dance, a language of his own that has earned him recognition including the Best Performer Prize from the Fundación Dávalos-Fletcher and the title of Outstanding Dancer at the Certamen Coreográfico de Danza Española y Flamenco de la Comunidad de Madrid.
