Carmen Romero
Born in Lorca in 2003, Carmen Romero represents a new generation of dancers who fuse the most refined technique with the purest emotion of flamenco. Trained in Spanish dance and flamenco at the Dance Conservatory and the Flamenco School of Andalusia, her career stands out for a stage maturity that overflows her youth.
She has toured international stages as a soloist and member of the Ballet Flamenco de Barcelona, performing Carmen in countries such as Portugal, Poland, Greece, or France. Her art has also shone in emblematic tablaos like Cardamomo, La Carmela, or La Cueva de Rocío, where her dance captivates with its strength, elegance, and truth.
Winner of the Begoña Cervera Flamenco Award – Tacones del Futuro (2023), Carmen has shared the stage with figures such as José Maya, Alfonso Losa, and Belén López, and has been a guest dancer with the Russian Imperial Ballet in The Nutcracker.
Her dance is born from solid training and a constant search. She has learned alongside great masters such as La Lupi, Jesús Carmona, La Moneta, Manuel Liñán, among others, and has been awarded scholarships by La Truco, Laura Fúnez, and Daniel Ramos.
Carmen Romero is young fire with deep roots. In every step, she pays homage to tradition while paving the way for a vibrant, contemporary flamenco full of truth.
