Amós Lora (Salamanca)
When he was only three years, he already used to play guitar under the direction of his father Manuel Lora. At the age of 6 began studying with El Entri, founder of the iconic Cañorroto Academy. Between Madrid, Jerez and the neighborhood of Pescadería in Almería, Amos was familiarized with the Gypsie Art.
At the age of 8 he was presented to Tomatito, who teaches him falsetas. In 2010 he traveled to Rome to meet Paco de Lucía, to whom he offers a small private concert where the Master praises his talent.
At the age of 12, Amos recorded his first CD, with the pianist Diego Amador as special guest. Amos is also in love with jazz, so in 2013 he decides to study in Ateneo Jazz Madrid. He has shared the stage with great flamenco artists and played in the main tablaos in Madrid and Barcelona. Abroad he has performed at major festivals such as Guitar Across the Styles Prague; Summer Festival Zagreb (Croatia); and as a guest in various festivals of Jazz in Havana. In 2014 inaugurates the International Guitar Festival José Tomás; and collaborates with Farruquito and El Carpeta in the Flamenco Festival of Mont de Marsan. He often appears on the radio and television, with his live shows: for El Sol, La Sal and El Son of Canal Sur, in Concerts of Radio 3, on the Pizzicato program of RTVE, in TV1 Croatia and in the Dutch TV; and also appears in La Ventana of Gemma Nierga and with the songwriter Jorge Drexler in Asuntos Propios of RNE. In 2013 the documentary film Niños Flamencos, directed by Katherina Hager, shows moments of the life and the music of Amos Lora. Worldmusic decided to incorporate Amos on the compilation of the CD The Rough Guide to Flamenco Guitar (2014) together with the dedicated and famous flamenco artists as Tomatito, Carles Benavent or Paco de Lucía.
