El Farru, El Yiyo and Paula Rodríguez (desplante award 2021 of Las Minas )
On Sunday, September 12 at 10:30 p.m. we will have a duel of flamenco titans.
On the one hand, El Farru, who, although it may seems incredible, started at the young age of 2 in Berlin. And at 6 he was already participating in his first movie. At 10 he already had his own flamenco company with which he toured Spanish and international festivals. His artistic successes are innumerable throughout the world, although his participation in the renowned Septet of the great genius Paco de Lucía is worth mentioning.
On the other hand, El Yiyo, who at only 11 years old made his first international tour and who has shared the bill with flamenco personalities such as Estrella Morente, Miguel Poveda, Duquende, among others. That difference led him to be wanted by Giorgio Armani, Soleá Morente, or C. Tangana.
Two generations of dancers will bring two different perspectives of flamenco that have marked and are marking this universal art. Two generations facing and complementary at same time.
But this special event does not end here. To arbitrate this wonderful artistic contest between these two male artists, we will have none other than Paula Rodríguez, rude 2021 prize at the most important flamenco festival in the world. The Festival of Las Minas.
A unique and amazing occasion that nobody knows if it will be repeated.
