A great renovator of flamenco and friend of this tablao. A great loss very hard to assume, since Enrique was not only one of the greatest flamenco artists, but also a wonderful human being, who never made distinction of classes when he talked with someone famous or with someone anonymous or with low-income.
Born in 1942 in the Albaycin of Granada, he was in contact with the music very young, at family gatherings and also as a seise in Granada Cathedral.
He said: “singing begins to appear inside yourself when you hear others singing in your town…”.
