El Flamenco también es cosa de niños is a project of the Tablao Flamenco Cardamomo which is intended to bring the art of Flamenco to the public of all ages.

The project has several concrete objectives:

-To show how Flamenco Art is transmitted from parents to children.

-To show the work of some children, with touches of the work of their parents and teachers, to illustrate how Flamenco Art passes from generation to generation.

-To offer children who want to be artists a space where they can show their work so that they are motivated to continue with their art studies.

-To help these children become familiar with the stage to help minimize what is commonly called stage fright.

-To initiate the general public in the art of flamenco, in a carefree way

-To teach the theoretical and practical concepts of Flamenco to audiences of all ages.

-To admire how feeling in Flamenco is transmitted at an early age when the children had hardly had the time to learn.

-To record the shows in order to be projected at schools and help spread the value of Flamenco art.

“El Flamenco también es cosa de niños” consists of four hour-long shows that will be performed in the Tablao Flamenco Cardamomo every Saturday of June of 2013 at 17:00 hours.

During the shows, we will see the expression of Flamenco in children accompanied by adults since up to three generations of several Flamenco dynasties will come up on stage.

The ages of the children that will show the way they feel the flamenco art goes from 2 years to 16 years old.

The show has the support of several generations of artists of international stature such as Raimundo Amador introducing his granddaughter, singer of 8 years; Tomatito introducing his grandson, dancer of 8 years; Miguel el Rubio introducing his grandson Miguel de los Rubio, 10 years guitarist; Pepito Montoyita introducing his granddaughter La Montilla, 2 years old flamenco dancer and singer; Agustín Carbonell el Bola introducing his 2 and 5 years old percussionist grandchildren; Rafita de Madrid who introduces his 5 and 7 years old sons who are singers and the his eldest percussionist son; Aurora Losada introducing singer Chenoa, her 12-year-old daughter.

The project also has the participation of Diego el Cigala, el Negri, Carlos Quirós, el Morito, el Monty, Antonio Ingueta, Isaac de los Reyes, Nino de los Reyes, Kelian Jiménez, Quilino Jiménez y el Entri, among others.

Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
