Cardamomo becomes the world’s first 100% inclusive flamenco tablao

Innovation and sensory accessibility in the heart of Madrid

On Thursday, April 16th, Cardamomo will officially present its sensory accessibility project. This milestone establishes our venue as the first in the world to be fully inclusive for people with visual and hearing impairments, ensuring that the art of flamenco remains an open space for all audiences.

A project developed with ONCE and Ilunion

This breakthrough is the result of extensive technical coordination and consultancy with ONCE and the collaboration of Ilunion. Together, we have implemented cutting-edge technological solutions to eliminate sensory barriers, allowing the emotion of flamenco to be felt by everyone equally.

Technology applied to the flamenco experience

During the presentation event, we will showcase the tools that are now part of the Cardamomo experience:

  • Haptic vests: These allow deaf individuals to perceive the rhythm and frequencies of the show through skin vibrations.

  • Magnetic loops (Induction loops): A clear and direct sound system for users of hearing aids or cochlear implants.

  • Accessible signage and tactile stations: Adaptations designed to facilitate orientation and environment awareness for people with visual impairments.

Live Demonstration

The event on April 16th will include a practical demonstration of these technologies. It will highlight how technological innovation serves artistic expression, enabling artists and students with sensory disabilities to fully participate in the flamenco experience.

With this project, Cardamomo reaffirms its commitment to inclusion, positioning Madrid at the forefront of international accessible culture.
