Juan Jiménez Abadía (Madrid)

Born in Madrid, guitarist Juan Jiménez began his professional career at the age of 17. From a gypsy family that has produced many artists, he is the son of Flamenco dancers El Tupé and La Cuatro and his brother is the great guitar player José Jiménez El Viejín. His first performance was in Madrid with Antonio Canales, in the shows Torero and La Casa de Bernarda Alba, having also played on the stages of Munich and Cologne…

Between 2013 and 2014 his international performances included participations in productions at the Suzanne Dellal Centre of Tel Aviv (Israel) and the Opera Theatre of Rome (Italy). He has also played alongside great singer-songwriters such as Montse Cortés, Miguel El Rubio and Guadiana Amador Losada; the renowned flute player Jorge Pardo, as well as artists Alain Pérez and Jerry González and great Flamenco dancers such as Farruquito and Farru. His work in the Flamenco dance companies of El Guito and Manolete, with which he toured Spain, is also of note. He currently plays in various production all over Spain with the Flamenco dance company of José Porcel.
