Saray Fernández „La Pitita“ (Granada)

Currently, the dancer from Granada, Saray La Pitita, is the first dancer of the last show of Joaquín Cortés Company: Gitano, a fusion of flamenco, contemporary dance, classical music and jazz gospel.

The career of La Pitita started in the tablaos of Granada at age 14 and continues in Flamenco Festivals in Spain and in prestigious tablaos of Madrid. In the International Festival of Music and Dance in Granada (FEX), with a cast of six artists of flamenco song and dance, she premier the show of Orchibé Cali (Alma Gitana), under the artistic direction of Ruben Campos. Saray confesses her passion for flamenco: that ‘from its purest expression, it builds the truth of her dancing’.
