Next Thursday, June 3, the award-winning artist Lisi Sfair will dance in a tribute show to castanets where she will show her most traditional side and her most modernized side.
The castanets, which are called palillos in the south of Spain, are an element completely related to flamenco but are often treated as something folk. Lisi Sfair will show how they are still valid so that interest and curiosity can be re-created for this instrument made of the most noble woods.
Castanets are one of the oldest instruments, attributed to the Phoenicians more than 3000 years ago.
