Ricardo V\u00e1zquez Amador<\/strong> was born on 21 January 1984 in Madrid. Since he was a child he has experienced flamenco in the family environment thanks to the fact that all his uncles sing or play the guitar.<\/p>\n

He inherited his art from his grandmother Josefa “Pepa” Amador Montes, a gypsy old woman with a special gift for singing and dancing.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Her great-grandfather Jos\u00e9 gave her her first guitar when she was only 3 years old. Since then, Ricardo V\u00e1zquez’s curiosity for music has not ceased. At the age of 12 he received his first lesson from Aquilino Jim\u00e9nez “El Entri”<\/strong> from the neighbourhood of Ca\u00f1o Roto, one of the best flamenco guitar teachers in Spain.<\/p>\n

Ricardo V\u00e1zquez has an international career.<\/h2>\n

His first encounter on stage was with the cantaora Celia Flores<\/strong> -daughter of the famous actress Marisol Flores- and Aroa Fern\u00e1ndez<\/strong>. From then on she began to perform in various musical groups in Madrid.<\/p>\n

His first encounter with flamenco dancing was on the stage of the tablao Almonte, in a live performance. This guitarist progressively trained in accompaniment until he performed in tablaos such as Cardamomo<\/strong> and Tablao Flamenco 1911.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Shows in which he participates<\/h3>\n

He stands out in the show “Genios” (2019) together with the dancer Curro de Candela<\/strong> performing with the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica RTVE at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid.<\/p>\n

He took part in the concert series Las Noches del Monumental<\/strong> at the Teatro Monumental in Madrid with the Mari\u00e1n Moraru Group, concerts which were broadcast on the RTVE television channel, La 2.<\/p>\n

In 2021 and 2022 he participated in shows such as Herencia<\/em> and Amores Flamencos<\/em> in Santander, Toledo and at the Palace Hotel (Madrid).<\/p>\n

He worked with the conductor Luis Cobos<\/strong> performing music for series and with the conductor Oliver D\u00edaz<\/strong> providing the flamenco guitar in works such as:<\/p>\n

  • Partita in D minor for solo violin, BWV 1004<\/em> by J.S Bach<\/li>\n
  • Concerto N. 2 In G Minor, RV 315 “El Verano”. III Presto<\/em> by Vivaldi<\/li>\n
  • Capriccio no. 24<\/em> by Paganini.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In 2023 he performed at the Albuquerque Flamenco Festival<\/strong> (USA) with the dancer Nazaret Reyes.<\/strong><\/p>\n
